Narrative Director
Directing the overall IP development of the Phantom Galaxies world, as well as overseeing the game’s change from linear single-person game to Blockchain MMO.
As Narrative Director, I took over from the original writer and team to develop and extend the transmedia worldbuilding, in-game story, and support for web3 features.
- Supervise and edit transmedia Short Stories published on Medium
- Pitch and supervise the creation of the “Community Choice Adventure” story creation, including narrative structure
- Rework original “Chosen One” main character and storyline into a shared journey for the pivot into MMO and personalised player Avatars
- Review all existing lore for gaps and opportunities
- Supervise the migration of lore from Google Docs into Notion
- Lead daily virtual Writers’ Rooms (five in the room)
- Plan and break new 2nd Sequence (Mission Update) with the original intent of it being placed between the Episodes and other pre-existing content
- Name new currencies and items
- Contextualise new features, gameplay, and blockchain systems within the lore
- Oversee creation of in-game manufacturers and brands
